WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

You’ll get an email from the application system once you’ve applied, setting out some of the next steps and telling you what date to expect more contact from us.

Applicants will be held on file until a Subject Chair has been elected; at which point they will receive training to help them pick their Subject Council.

If the Chair has told us that they’re happy to be involved in the selection process, your anonymised application will be sent to them and they will select the best candidates from the applications supplied, using the scores as a guide but also applying personal judgement on the mix of applicants to make a strong and diverse Subject Council.

If the Subject Chair does not wish to be involved in the selection process then the score given to the applicants will be sent to the current Vice President Education, and they will be asked to approve the applications based on the scores given to the applicants.

You will be informed whether you are successful or not, and successful candidates will be invited to training in May or September; depending on their own availability.
