Thank You

Thank you

Since 1955, the Students’ Guild has represented your interests on campus but it is you, the students at the University of Exeter, who take control of your own experiences a change Exeter for the better. Whether you’ve volunteered in the local area, raised money for charity, been to a society event, attended an event in the career zone, or played a sport with the Athletics Union – Exeter is our home and you are what make it a special place to study. Thank you for changing Exeter.

In the past year, you have volunteered over 13'000 hours to local causes, national charities, and to help develop your own skills. This year so far, your academic societies have arranged over 200 events and 1/3 of these have been dedicated to employability and academic support – so when you leave Exeter, you’re in a better place to work in industry. Thank you for volunteering.

You have directed the creation of hundreds of online resources for academic support and appeals, wellbeing, and advice. You have engaged with our Advice Unit when you’ve needed to and you’ve been part of the ‘See Something Sport Something’ and Mental Health Month campaigns, so that when it comes to your health and those deadlines, you’re able to achieve your best. Thank you for caring.

There are over 432 elected representatives and volunteers from your courses who take your academic feedback directly to University management on a regular basis. Pushing for quality teaching is so important and it is only because of you that this is possible. See who your reps are and have your say. Thank you for your feedback.

We’re taking our message to you. We’ll be based around the Exeter campuses through January and February. See when we’re near you and collect a thank you gift.
