Important Information

Today’s the day where flames, fireworks and fun come together to create a spectacular evening at Ottery St Mary!

Tar Barrels

Getting there

• You will need to collect your wristband at Reception, which is open until 20:00 this evening. You’ll need this to get on the coach so don’t forget to collect it!
• Pick up is on Perry Road (outside Washington Singer) from 18:00. The last coach will be leaving at 20:00.
• No alcohol is to be brought on the coaches.
• While you’re there we want you to have a good time, but we also want you to stay safe as the event gets very crowded and you will be in close proximity to fire and burning tar barrels.

You’ll need to wear sensible clothing and comfortable footwear as the streets can get very dirty from the ashes on the ground and your clothes will soak up the smoke in the atmosphere.

For your safety, please read the guidelines on the official Tar Barrels website, where you can also find useful information and locations for the evening. Please note, by attending the event, you are agreeing to the risk and the organisers are not responsible for your safety while you’re at the event.

Coming back to Exeter

Coaches will pick you up from the drop off point from 22:30 and the last coach will be leaving at 00:00.

We hope you have a great evening at the Tar Barrels at Ottery St Mary! Remember to stay safe and don’t forget to tag us @exeterguild in your photos on social media!
