Theatre with Teeth is the University of Exeter’s only theatre society dedicated to performing exclusively student written and developed work, ranging from new plays to devised, immersive, and experimental work.
Each year, we produce a range of student written work and tour productions to the Edinburgh Fringe and Inter-University Drama Festival. Once a term, we have our 24-hour plays where writers, directors and a cast produce and perform short plays in under 24 hours. In term 2, Theatre with Teeth host a Jawbreaker Night, which showcases a range of performances from music, spoken word, scratch performances and comedy in collaboration with other theatre societies on campus. As a new writing society, we strive to help develop the skill and passion our members have for new writing and therefore, we host weekly writing workshops (Bite workshops) led by our very own literary manager. These sessions culminate in rehearsed readings to audiences of the work that has been in development over the sessions throughout the term. Theatre with Teeth is a very welcoming, inclusive and busy society with lots of events and exciting things happening to give you something to chew on!
