Spotlight: ExImpact

It is a three days startup competition revolved around our members finding solutions to social or environmental issues. It is a great chance to give back to others and to address ethical and societal ideas.

This year, the theme has been set to alleviate one of the greatest challenges our generation will face: climate change. In partnership with the UNHCR and Enactus, hackers will have to build projects and solutions to climate-related displacements, affecting millions of people around the world. Combining business, tech and marketing, hackers team up to build an innovative startup to solve ethical or societal issues in just one weekend.

The weekend kicks off with hackers pitching their innovative ideas to the rest of the attendees. Attendees can then network and join ideas that excite them and are in need of the skills they can offer. Having formed teams, mentors work with the hackers to develop their idea. Each team pitches their innovative startup/idea to a panel of expert judges, with top prizes up for grabs. Finally, the winning teams get to develop their ideas with the support of our partners in a constructive and professional environment.
