Aims and Objectives:
To give opportunities to meet and socialise with people on similar courses.
To be a fun and inclusive society
To encourage wider engagement with SAC subjects by holding and sharing educational talks.
To be a society that our members can contact when they are in need of help and to do our best to help them.
SAC is a great way for you to meet and socialise with likeminded people across different year groups. We hold lots of great socials across the year- from academic talks and careers events to bar crawls and pub quizzes- not forgetting the infamous Christmas dinner and Spring Ball. We like to think there’s something for everyone with our society, and we are happy for flatmates and other friends to join in with the activities too.
Being a member of SAC will mean discounted tickets to our socials and the chance to be more involved in the society.
But we’re not just here for a fun time- we’re here to support you too. If you need support for academic or any personal reasons, please feel free to contact any of our committee or our new Welfare Officer Eleanor Huggins who’ll be able to help and point you in the direction of further help if you ever need it.
Don't forget to join our group on Facebook where we will regularly update you with any events or important information. Also follow our Twitter and Instagram accounts if that's your thing. We can’t wait to see you at one of our events and please contact us if you have any questions.
Although we know this year will be a little different there will still be plenty of fun and accessible socials both online and in person where possible. We will, of course, be in keeping with both University and government guidelines to keep our members safe whilst trying our best to give you the SAC experience we desperately want to.
All our in-person socials for Term 1 will be risk assessed for COVID-19 as appropriate however if you have any questions at all, you can always feel free to drop us a message.
See All Events tab for full listing.
