About Us

Aims and Objectives:

  1. Educate and debate on all areas of applied medical ethics
  2. Gain the opportunity to meet experts in relative fields of ethics
  3. Explore potential career paths with ethics at their core
  4. Represent the University at national ethic debates

We are a new society, welcoming students from any discipline, with the aspiration to teach and debate about all areas of applied medical ethics; including ethics of research, religion, bioethics, animal ethics and much much more. We shall be inviting speakers who are experts in relative fields of ethics to come and share their perspective, allowing time at the end for a discussion on the various points which they will have raised. We plan to hold small group debates based around topics which will have been decided by YOU the week coming up to the debate day. We shall also be holding regular debate workshop classes, where we shall aim to develop your debating skills and help you build your confidence in exploring different opinions around possible sensitive topics.
