About Us

Aims and Objectives:

  1. Educate and Debate on all areas of applied medical ethics
  2. Gain the opportunity to meet experts in relative fields of ethics
  3. Create a Diverse and Inter-disciplinary community
  4. Represent the University at national ethics debates

We welcome students from any discipline, with the aspiration to teach and debate about all areas of applied medical ethics; including ethics of research, religion, bioethics, animal ethics and much much more. We shall be inviting speakers who are experts in relative fields of ethics to come and share their perspective, allowing time in the end for a discussion on the various points which they will have raised. We hold small group debates based on topics that will have been decided by YOU the week coming up to the debate day.

Every year, we take part in the national student debate competition in Medical Ethics. This is a great opportunity for all our members to take part and practise their debating skills.

If you would like to know more, please do get in touch!
