Welcome to the University of Exeter Hispanic Society!
The Hispanic society is the university's academic society for students of Spanish, but is also perfect for native speakers and anyone who is interested in Spanish and Latin American food and culture.
We are a friendly, inclusive society and the socials we will be holding during Freshers' week and throughout the year will offer something for everyone. We also enjoy collaborating with the other MFL societies - our joint socials are legendary, the annual highlight being the fantastic Joint Languages Ball.
Despite the Coronavirus and the restrictions that are in place, we're going to try our absolute best to make the society as fun and exciting as possible!
Under the current guidance and restrictions, the society will be running online events and activities until we are told otherwise. However, we will still be putting on a variety of events that you can get involved with and we welcome any suggestions for new ideas and events!
Aims and Objectives:
- Run weekly online socials that are varied and inclusive, such as online quiz nights and online film nights
- Hold Spanish conversation classes (online until restrictions change)
- Provide academic assistance for Spanish students
- Raise money for the great charities in Exeter such as Exeter nightline
- Increase the number of joint socials the society attends
We are really looking to improve the academic assistance that the society is able to offer, especially by running conversation classes.
We hope to see you all in Freshers Week and beyond… to find more about the exciting things we have lined up for this year, join our Facebook group (link below).
And if you have any questions, feel free to message us on Facebook or email us. We’d love to hear from you!
