Welcome to the Hispanic Society!!
The Hispanic society is the university's academic society for students of Spanish, but is also perfect for native speakers and anyone who is interested in Spanish and Latin American food and culture.
We are a friendly, inclusive society and the socials we will be holding during Freshers' week and throughout the year will offer something for everyone; from sampling the best of Hispanic cusine, to chilled flamenco nights, to practicing our salsa dancing! We also enjoy collaborating with the other MFL societies - our joint socials are legendary, the annual highlight being the fantastic Joint Languages Ball. The committee is determined to make to make it bigger and better than ever this year!!
There's a more academic side to the society too, and we provide weekly conversation classes at both beginners and advanced levels. These provide a great opportunity to pratice Spanish, whether you are in the early stages of learning the language, or can speak it with a high level of fluency. We also play intramural netball every Sunday as a very relaxed and fun way to meet some more lanuages students and play some sport together!
We have so many exciting things lined up for the coming year, so don't forget to join our Facebook group (link below) for more information.
Here is a link to our Instagram page too!: https://www.instagram.com/hispanicsocexeter/
And if you have any questions, feel free to drop any of us a line!
