Aims and Objectives:
We are Exeter University's longest running performing arts society, celebrating our 50th anniversary last year. We are very proud of our history and our growing reputation of bringing the work of 19th Century satirist and composer; W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan to life! This year, not only do we have our annual Northcott Production to look forward to, in which we are to tackle Gilbert and Sullivan’s ‘Yeomen of the Guard’, but also a variety of smaller cabaret performances across the year, not to mention our secret third term project. We aren’t just looking for singers and actors for our productions, we welcome anyone from any background in the arts; whether you’re a makeup artist, lighting designer or producer, we want you!
This year we will be continuing to support the incredible Exeter Leukemia Fund. ELF provides essential, compassionate support and care to families affected by blood cancer across the South West. They also provide transport, accommodation and guidance to those whose lives have been affected by a diagnosis. A very worthy cause we think! We strive for a professional-standard of performance (with the society containing some of the best actors, singers and musicians in the university in our opinion). The society is by no means exclusive though and we welcome all to come and audition for us. We would love to meet potential new members!
