Aims and Objectives:
Exeter University Choral Society
- Create an inclusive and welcoming environment in which to make music together
- Improve members' musical ability, both in terms of vocals and theory
- Encourage greater interaction between the different members of society, from out student body to those living in and around Exeter
Exeter University Choral Society is the largest un-auditioned classical choir on campus. We are a welcoming mixture of students and associate members (including alumni, staff and members of the community) who meet to perform an eclectic mix of choral works!
Recent performances have included Handel's Messiah, Puccini’s Messa Di Gloria, Verdi's Anvil Chorus, Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, Brahms’ Requiem, and Bach's Mass in B Minor. At our most recent event, we performed Mozart's Requiem and Sparrow Mass, accompanied by EUCO!
For this term's event, we will be performing multiple pieces, featuring Orff's Carmina Burana, on 21st March in the Great Hall! This is surely an event you cannot miss.
We rehearse every Monday from 19.15 - 21.15 in LT2 of the Queen's Building on Streatham Campus, and you can absolutely find us at The Imperial afterwards!
When we’re not singing, we’re hosting a boastful range of socials, including (but in no way limited to): rock climbing, cycling, club nights, board gaming, salsa nights, picnics, trips to the Northcott Theatre, and trips to Dartmoor!
We welcome everyone - students, staff and community members - at ANY level, whether you only practice in the shower/car, or you’re practically a virtuoso! To join, or for more information, feel free to contact the Committee via Messenger, or at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the committee on email@example.com, or message our Facebook page.
