About Us

Aims and Objectives:

  1. Create a safe and welcoming environment for anyone to enjoy Drama through fun and engaging socials.
  2. Offer relevant information about upcoming opportunities and shows for other theatre societies.
  3. Offer support and advice for those interested in the theatre industry through regular, tailored talks and practical workshops,  the sharing of information from the department/ career zone and mentoring students in their academic studies.

Exeter University Drama Society is the academic society of Theatre @ Exeter. Our purpose is to provide opportunities for all students interested in Drama at the university, as well as to collaborate with all of the theatre societies for social and organisational elements. Each year, we welcome a range of members from different year groups who study a range of different subjects but share a love of theatre. Anyonecan join DramaSoc!

We host social events for our members, from Cheesy Tuesday pres, to theatre trips and informal brunches where members can relax and chat to their friends. Our Term 1 and Term 3 balls are not to be missed as they are the best way to finish the Term; everyone comes together for a good time with good people and good food.

We also provide academic and career development opportunities such industry workshops and alumni talks.  All of our committee are on hand to help any time you have a question, query, or concern.

This year we will be bringing back both our fortnightly news letter and our intramural netball team, for members who want to play sport in a fun and relaxed environment, more details of which can be found on our social media!
