WHY JOIN THE PUBLIC SPEAKING SOCIETY?

Setting You Up For The Workplace

Our society will help you achieve your career goals in numerous ways. Firstly, it will look great on your  CV and will subsequently be a fantastic talking point in any interview you may come across. Our guest speakers will broaden your understanding of a range of various career paths and choices.

Building Confidence

Whether it's asking a question at an event or getting involved in our speaking competitions, the society will be an environment for all members to value the power of their opinions and voices. Even if you do not feel entirely comfortable talking to large audiences, our society will help develop your confidence in doing so.

Diversity

Our society is not subject specific and will therefore attract members with a variety of academic interests. The social focus of our society will enable our members to meet people they may not otherwise be able to.
