About Us

Find us on instagram @exeterneurosoc

The human brain, as the most complex organ and one of the most complex structures in the universe, contains 86 billion neurons which produce our thoughts, feelings, memories, sense of self, consciousness, actions and experiences. It is so vast and extraordinary that there are many medical specialties and sub-specialties dedicated to it, these include but are not limited to; neurology, neurosurgery, clinical neurophysiology and neuroradiology.

1-We aim to provide medical based talks and teaches complementary to and beyond the medical school’s curriculum to cement our knowledge and explore.

2-There will also be talks and guidance on how to progress into neuro-based specialties and careers in medicine.

3-We will aim to organise clinical placements in neurology and neurosurgery.

4-On top of all of that there will be opportunities to meet like-minded students and work together to learn more about the brain and progression into brain based specialties.

Our society is a warm and friendly space for all interested in the brain and brain based specialties in medicine. We encourage anyone interested in the nervous system and brain to join our society!
