About Us

Hello and welcome to the University of Exeter Law Society!

We provide a wide range of events for both law and non-law students, to help you achieve your potential. Our events include employability and career opportunities with top firms, chambers and businesses, a particular highlight being the careers dinner where members can network between tables and personally be exposed to the broad range of careers available for them.

We have a range of competitions, including mooting, mock trials, and the introduction of an essay-writing competition. Our pro bono and mooting activities also ensure that we are giving students the opportunity to develop transferable skills for their career, whether that be entering into law or other fields.

This is in addition to our social opportunities available, to keep the calendar jam-packed especially our Winter Law Ball which is always a magical evening. Every year we offer intramural sport, including netball and football as an opportunity to get involved in a team that spans across multiple years.

Community is at the heart of our society, and we provide our members with a fantastic array of opportunities to get to know one another. We are proud to have a committed Diversity and Inclusion team to ensure that the society is open and accessible for everyone. Our wellbeing officer is also on hand to ensure that the society goes beyond catering for not just your career path, but for your university life too.

We hope that you’ll join us and become part of our law society network!
