Exeter Cardiology Society (ECS) is a rapidly growing society at the University of Exeter Medical School.
We aim to supplement and enrich the Exeter's Medical School curriculum whilst engaging students with interests in all areas related to the heart and cardiovascular system, more specifically in the specialities of cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery.
Aims and Objectives:
1. Increase student exposure to the fields of cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery.
2. Organise teaches, placements, workshops and other events led by experts in the field to develop student interest for a career in these areas and supplement education in the cardiovascular system.
3. Liaise and fundraise for the British Heart Foundation to raise awareness of cardiovascular disease and its impact on public health.
4. Collaborate with other societies to establish a better platform across the South West and beyond to provide better opportunities to students and the community.
Membership will be free for first term - this means there's no excuse to not get involved! :)
