Orienteering Runners Of Exeter

Join Exeter University’s Orienteering club and experience Devon and Britain like never before! We are a welcoming and inclusive society, for complete beginners to orienteering veterans.

Do you want to explore the local area, the breath-taking moorlands of Dartmoor, twisting paths of Haldon Forest, hills of Stoke Woods and more with only a compass and map!

Orienteering is an outdoor sport and we hope to be running sessions together as soon as safely possible. Then we will offer weekly training sessions and group trail runs. However, we will be flexible and hold online sessions in the meantime as well as virtual orienteering with Maprun!

Don’t worry if you’ve never tried Orienteering before, coaching will be provided and every course is graded in length and difficulty.

We hope to offer:

  • Weekly training sessions
  • Weekly group trail runs
  • Free Devon Orienteering (local club) membership
  • Baseplate compasses provided

Depending on Covid:

  • Weekly Sunday trips to maps all over Devon, including Dartmoor and further!
  • Possibility to compete for Exeter at the British University Championships
