About Us

Space:Exe is a new society for anyone interested in extra-curricular Astrophysics, Rocketry and Space Science.

We're in the process of building a 4.5m Radio Telescope in Cornwall - see www.xrt-c.co.uk - and are part of the national space society UKSEDS (www.ukseds.org).

We're planning an exciting range of activities throughout the year, such as finishing and commisioning our Radio Telescope, attending the National Student Space Conference and possibly building rockets! We host regular socials such as stargazing nights and pub quizs. Last year we hosted our first ever Space Science and Astronomy conference with speakers such as Ian Jones, CEO of Goonhilly EarthStation, NASA ambassador John Maclean, Omar Jamil Met office senior scientist and many more. We also love getting involved in as many science outreach events as we can.

Join our society and the facebook group to get involved! After joining you'll be added to mailing lists for build days throughout the year to Caradon where you can get hands on and be part of the team that completes the XRT-C.

Email spaceexe.exeter@gmail.com with any questions.
