Do I book or make an appointment?
No – we operate on a first come, first served basis. Please do leave yourself plenty of time as we can get busy.
How long will it take?
Printing 2 dissertations takes on average 5-10 minutes; binding is similar. However, when we are busy this time increases as there will be a queue. We have considerable experience and usually manage to get people in and out within 40 minutes.
How do I pay?
We are happy to take cash or debit/credit card for amounts over £1.50. Unfortunately, we cannot take payment from the University’s library card.
Can I submit it online and collect later?
Yes! We offer a remote printing service via the Guild website (www.exeterguild.org/print/remote) which is simple and quick to use.
Is there a way I can avoid the queue in the Print Room?
The simplest way will be to use our remote print service (above). You can choose to collect your dissertation from a number of locations on campus. We will send you an email when it is ready to collect and ask you to pay by card over the telephone at no extra charge.
I’m at St. Lukes – do I have to come to you?
No – we can send it to you. Using our remote print option (above), you can choose to have your dissertation for collection from the Guild shop at St. Lukes. We will send you an email when it is ready to collect and ask you to pay by card over the telephone at no extra charge.
What if you’re too busy? Or run out of paper or bindings?
We’re never too busy to print, bind, and be helpful. As long as you leave yourself enough time, we’ll get it done. And we never run out of paper – or bindings.
What if I’m having trouble or don’t know what to do?
Don’t panic! We’re happy to help and answer any questions you may have. Your department should be able to tell you what binding you need or if you will be printing single- or double-sided.
