Black History Month October 2018

Warren Bingham-Roberts (VP Education) has been working closely with Rose Ahier (VP Welfare & Diversity) and the African and Caribbean Society (ACS) to create a month of events and actions for this year’s Black History Month. You can see what’s going on and find out more about how you can get involved by heading to the Guild website. Here are some examples of the things you can do:

  • Think about having discussions around de-colonising the curriculum with your course mates.
  • Watch Amatey Doku’s (NUS Vice-President Higher Education) video on the #BlackAttainment gap.

Suggest the authors you’d like to see in the black literature highlight section of the library to your library champions
