Exeter’s African Caribbean Society (ACS) hosted The Great Debate Tour last night as part of Black History Month. The Tour brought with them a celebration of diversity and heritage, as well as being a forum for powerful, thought provoking discussion.
With the help of a panel of experts including current university students, attendees are encouraged to explore issues that the Tour’s research indicates is most relevant to the audience. Topics debated included the NHS, Windrush, Brexit and many more. Each debate takes place as a question time style event and attendees are given the opportunity to participate.
The Great Debate Tour is the first national debate forum targeting cultural communities on University campuses across the UK. It’s now in its ninth year and this year, the Tour will partner with over 30 universities, creating larger debates with universities combining.
