We are here to support members of our student community who are impacted by the current crisis in Palestinian territories. Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected in the region and worldwide.
For any support or advice, please contact either our Advice Service exeterguild.com/advice or the University’s Wellbeing team at exeter.ac.uk/wellbeing. There is also the BAME Counselling Support through Nilaari.
If this is impacting your studies, you can also contact the University’s Student Hub about applying for academic mitigation and support. This academic year students are not required to provide evidence for mitigation; however, we are lobbying the University to extend this for future years to ease the process for students for a variety of reasons, including any student who has been impacted by a humanitarian or environmental crisis.
We are aware of incidents of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, we strongly condemn these. If you have received or witnessed any form of harassment, you can report it using the University’s Speak Out reporting system: exeter.ac.uk/speakout
We have a number of student-led societies if you would like some peer networks or community to share with:
We also support students’ right to peacefully protest; you might find the below resources helpful about how to protest safely:
