The Students' Guild is pleased to announce the appointment of Joff Cooke who will join the organisation in August.
Joff's appointment follows a rigorous two-day recruitment process chaired by Students' Guild President Grace Frain and supported by the organisations' trustees and senior management from the Guild and University.
Joff has a long history in the Students' Union sector having worked at several other Students' Unions, as well as the National Union of Students.
On his appointment, Joff commented:
"I am delighted and honoured to have been offered the role of Chief Executive at the University of Exeter Guild of Students.
After 30 years of working in universities and students' unions across the UK, I have never felt as excited at the prospect of working in such a great institution as Exeter, and with such great people that I have already met at the Guild and University.
Most of all I am looking forward to getting to know the Exeter students more and helping them have a truly world-class and exceptional experience while at Exeter."
Grace Frain, Students' Guild President, added:
"I am delighted by the outcome of the process, and I am excited to see what the Guild staff team can achieve under the leadership of Joff. I would like to extend my thanks to those who were involved in this process"
The appointment of a new Chief Executive follows the announcement of the departure of the current Chief Executive, Tracy Costello earlier this year. Tracy is leaving the organisation after 14 years in the organisation and six as Chief Executive.
