Your VP Education, Penny Dinh, has been working hard to find solutions to the problems that you as students are facing in your studies at Exeter. We are delighted to announce that alongside colleagues and University staff, Penny has been instrumental in bringing in a new policy which will reduce the penalty for late submission of assessed work.
The new policy will mean that if a student submits a piece of work less than 60 minutes late, they will now get a five-mark reduction, instead of being capped at the pass mark which was previously enforced.
This is a step in the right direction in ensuring that students are not disadvantaged by problems outside your control when submitting assignment. Congratulations to Penny and Guild Academic Reps involved in the consultation for this policy!
