After months of planning, RAG brought XCFS to the stage on the evening of Monday February 25th. Organised in aid of RAG’s nominated charities, Pete’s Dragons, a charity helping people live through the suicide of a loved one, and Nightstop Devon, Julian House, a service providing same day emergency accommodation for young homeless people aged 16-25, the event raised just over £2000 for these incredible local causes.
The show was split into four walks, Vintage, Preppy, Street and Festival (photos below), in addition to two incredible performances from Exeter University Dance Society. RAG’s Freps put together a charity raffle where members of the audience won a variety of prizes including free cocktail masterclasses, Edinburgh Fringe tickets and a limited-edition gin to name a few, raising £382 in the process for RAG’s Nominated Charities.
Brands including Kuccia, A Splash of Orange, Glittaglo, SolidariTee, Demoo Jeans, MG Vintage, The Ragged Priest, Whale of a Time Clothing, Rhimani, and Edge of Beyond took their designs to the stage, all of which are considered conscious fashion brands. Either encouraging wearing second-hand items or sourcing materials sustainability and ethically.
