Politicians visit campus

Anna Soubry, Chuka Umunna, and Amelia Womack visited campus today

Conservative MP Anna Soubry, Labour MP Chuka Umunna, and Deputy Green Party Leader Amelia Womack visited campus today to take part in the Students for a People’s Vote Roadshow. The event, part of the student-led For Future’s Sake (FFS) campaign seeks to empower students to lobby their MPs, and ensure their issues are heard on the issue of Brexit.

Speakers at the event tackled the issues of future research funding, lack of guarantees for EU students studying in the UK, and the impact of Brexit on the economy.
