Submit your nomination: step by step

Thinking about nominating yourself but not sure where to start? We’ve got you covered! Follow our easy 3 step process and you’ll be on your way to being a candidate in no time.

Step 1: Start the nomination process

The first thing you need to do is nominate yourself via the Candidate Hub. This will ask for some basic information about you, and which role you want to be a candidate for.

You need to do this before the nominations period ends at 12:00 Monday 28 February 2022.

Step 2: Attend one of the Candidate Briefings

One of our election rules is that all candidates must attend on the Candidate Briefings in order to be approved as a candidate in the election. These briefings are an opportunity for Guild’s election team to get to know you, explain the election journey and rules, and answer any questions you have.

We have two (you only need to attend one):

  • Mon 28 Feb 18:30-19:30 – Candidate Briefing (in-person) – Kolade Teaching Room, Building: One, Business School.

  • Tue 1 Mar 13:30-14:30 – Candidate Briefing (online) – via Zoom – find joining details on the Candidate Hub soon.

If you are absolutely unable to attend either of these sessions, please email as soon as possible so we can make alternative arrangements.

The final thing you need to do  to complete your nomination is submit your Candidate Form via the Candidate Hub.
