As we are reaching the end of the second term, we hope that you have had a successful last few weeks and that you are looking forward to a well-deserved break over the Easter holidays! You have done incredibly well this term in handling both a national lockdown and your studies, so you should be really proud. Our Officers and staff at your Students’ Guild will also be enjoying some time off, and you can find the full details below!
Students’ Guild Closure
The Students’ Guild will be closed from Friday 2 April to Thursday 8 April, which means that student services, like Advice and Activities, will be closed during this time, and any queries will be addressed when we return. Our staff and our Officer teams will be away over this break, so if you need to get in contact with them then please send them an email and they will get back to you as soon as they return.
Support Services Available over the Easter Break
Our Advice team will be out of office until the 8 April, so the team will be able to support you after the break as usual. However, if you need support whilst our staff are away, there are other support services that will continue to be available to you over the Easter break, including:
- Nightline - the incredible student run service is available if you need to talk.
- Mind – Mind offer support and advice if you’re having problems with mental health.
- NHS – The NHS can offer services including emergency support.
- Samaritans – If you are in need of someone to talk to then Samaritans can support in that way.
The government have advised students to remain in term-time accommodation over the Easter break where possible to minimise the spread of Covid-19. However, there is another travel window for students to travel home once during the Easter break if you need to.
If you are travelling home, pleasure ensure that you are travelling safely by booking a test before leaving Exeter. This will ensure that you are minimising the transmission of Covid-19, and keeping your families safe.
We hope that you have a well-rested and enjoyable Easter break! For those of you with exams in the final term, we also wish you the best of luck with your revision. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to help over the next few weeks!
