“Running a marathon is something I’ve always wanted to do, and as soon as I left the welcome meeting, I knew it was the best decision I’d made! A year later, I’m about to go out and complete the 26 miles course, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited! Despite the training being tough at points, I have loved every second of this challenge. I have met amazing people, some of whom are now my closest friends and have had the best year fundraising with them! I have received such great support from my challenge leaders, which was definitely needed at times! This challenge has pushed me both mentally and physically and crossing that finish line is going to be a moment I know I won’t forget. I’m so glad I signed up, and no matter if you’ve never run before, or you’re a born athlete (I wish), it’s something you definitely have to do at uni! “
