Over the next 5 days we’ll be introducing you to each of the international challenges on offer, first up …Why not go to New York and run a marathon?

Why not join 50,000 runners starting at Staten Island and exploring all five boroughs of New York City, before finishing those 26 Miles in Central Park.? If you’ve ever wanted to tick running a marathon and visiting New York off your bucket list now’s your chance! You’ll also be supporting the incredible National Autistic Society, a charity offering support and awareness about autism which affects over 700,000 people in the UK.

“Running a marathon is something I’ve always wanted to do, and as soon as I left the welcome meeting, I knew it was the best decision I’d made! A year later, I’m about to go out and complete the 26 miles course, and I honestly couldn’t be more excited! Despite the training being tough at points, I have loved every second of this challenge. I have met amazing people, some of whom are now my closest friends and have had the best year fundraising with them! I have received such great support from my challenge leaders, which was definitely needed at times! This challenge has pushed me both mentally and physically and crossing that finish line is going to be a moment I know I won’t forget. I’m so glad I signed up, and no matter if you’ve never run before, or you’re a born athlete (I wish), it’s something you definitely have to do at uni! “
