On 28 September, universities, venues, and street corners across the country will unite to support BBC Music Day, a nationwide salute to the United Kingdom’s vibrant musical heritage.
XMedia is joining with BBC Introducing to put on a thrilling night of live local music at Kay House, a Guild operated music venue located in Duryard, a short ten minute walk from the central campus. The event is open to both students and the general public.
The venue will host two stages of vital local music, ranging from electronica to folk to alternative. The bill is still evolving, but confirmed acts so far include local singer songwriter Sadie Horler, electronic artist Arthr, South Devon heavyweights Tors and campus favourites Pedrick. The Ram will also provide a working bar for the duration of the event.
The event is open to both students and the general public who are aged 18 and over. Doors will open at 7pm, and the night will officially close at 11pm. Tickets are available via the Guild’s website and can be purchased for £6.
This has really been a labour of love for all the XMedia team, and we are hoping it will be one of the biggest nights in the Freshers' calendar. Come and join us as we celebrate Exeter's diverse homegrown musical scene!
