Lead on Welfare, Rights, and Decolonisation

Champions the Rights and Welfare of all Exeter students both in the community and on the University's campuses. Listens to and amplifies the voices of Exeter students, advocating improvement in student support, and the removal of structural barriers at Exeter.

  • Proactively champions student rights and safety in the community and on all of the University’s campuses;
  • Leads on the student support agenda within the University;
  • Takes a lead on accommodation quality, availability and pricing;
  • Supports and champions the work of Exeter Nightline;
  • Promotes and implements the Guild’s intersectionality and liberation work;
  • Works closely with the DVP Liberation, and Liberation Network Reps, as well as any Liberation or well-being related Societies to erradicate structural barriers;
  • Direct Sabbatical Officer support for DVP Liberation, and DVP Wellbeing.
  • Direct Sabbatical Officer support for the student group Nightline.
