Please keep reading if you would like to know a bit more information.
The SSLC is a meeting with senior members of staff and all members of the student council, where we present the feedback we gathered from fellow students regarding all aspects of your course.
In our meeting, we covered the following topics:
- No disadvantage guarantee (NDG) - We knew that many of you wanted a no detriment policy and we have raised this point. We also communicated that students were not very satisfied with the NDG and we will be asking for your thoughts about this in due course.
- Feedback form responses - 160 of you answered both feedback forms (thank you!) and we presented the responses from that to staff members. Please find attached a summary of answers across all years (apart from the Year Abroad). A summary was presented by the Subject Chair and individual, more detailed responses were presented by your reps.
- Our next steps - We took your feedback on board and we won't be including as many questions in our next form, but rather give you the space to share your thoughts in more detail. We are also planning a live event in which staff that attended the SSLC will discuss/answer your responses/questions, as well as open the floor up to any questions you may have. More information on this will be coming soon.
In an effort to close the feedback loop, we will be sending out any updates/actions from the above to you when we can. If you would like to look at our action log from our previous SSLCs, please find them on the Modern Languages SSLC SharePoint page.
All the best,
ML SSLC 20/21
