Ensure that every single student is supported and engaged in an open, accessible and inclusive community, and has the chance to thrive 

Objective Desired Outcome

Campaign for the University to decolonise the curriculum, address the BME Awarding Gap and address the educational inequality faced by people of Colour at Exeter 

  • Student Reps feel empowered to advocate for educational equality in their course.
  • University commit to address educational inequality at all levels and take proactive steps to achieve this.

Work with the University to develop inclusive policies and resources that support every student 

  • University commit to review policies to eliminate inequality in consultation with students.
  • Students are empowered to take actions when confronting educational inequalities at the University.

Campaign for better training and support for Personal Tutors to ensure they are proactive in supporting students' needs 

  • Students to receive adequate support and reasonable adjustments with their disabilities during their studies without having to advocate for themselves through
    bureaucratic processes.

Develop the student experience to ensure that every student values their time in Exeter 

Objective Desired Outcome

Improve the engagement of students in quality assurance structures, championing Student Representatives and their impact 

  • Increased students’ engagement with their reps and academic representation events and forums (e.g., new Ac Exec).
  • Reps empowered to promote themselves and their roles to students.
