LGBTQ+ Society & Comedy Society Halloween Spookstravaganza

Sun 31 October 2021 19:00-22:00
John Gandy’s upstairs bar

Join us at the John Gandy’s upstairs bar in collaboration with the Comedy Society for a Halloween party and costume competition! All ticket proceeds will go to the charity Rainbow Migration.

Theme: Local Legends

You can dress as a character from an urban legend local to Devon, your hometown, or wherever you like! Prizes will be awarded for the three best costumes. If you don't want to enter the costume competition then feel free to come dressed as whatever you like.

Important: characters and creatures from stories that might be referred to as urban legends can carry a lot of significance in the cultures they originate from. Make sure to research whether it might be disrespectful to dress as a certain thing before committing to a costume!

Tickets are £2 and all ticket proceeds will go to the charity Rainbow Migration, who work to support LGBTQI+ people through the UK asylum and immigration system. They provide practical and emotional support for LGBTQI+ people seeking asylum to help improve their confidence and self-esteem and reduce isolation. They also provide specialist legal information and advice, and campaign to improve the treatment of people seeking asylum.
