Event Description

The Room at Campus Cinema

M&D Room
18/01/2019 18:30

The Campus Cinema tradition returns for another year as we host another round of interactive screenings for The Room! Widely regarded as the one of the worst films in cinema history and ‘the Citizen Kane of bad movies’, ‘The Room’ has gathered an enormous cult following. It tells the story of Johnny, a successful banker who lives happily in a San Francisco townhouse with his fiancée, Lisa. One day she gets bored of him and decides to seduce Johnny’s best friend, Mark. From there, nothing will be the same again.

The Room is being shown as a special interactive event where you can truly appreciate this masterpiece of bad film-making. Be prepared for shouting, showers of plastic spoons and heavy helpings of narrative inconsistency. Rules will be read out on the night and participation is encouraged. Spoons will be provided.
