It’s my job to ensure that students’ views about teaching, learning and anything related to the academic experience are represented to, and acted upon by, the University.

Academic Representation

  • Increase the visibility of student representatives and AcRep as a whole
  • Ensure all reps are well supported and empowered to carry out their role
  • Enhance the student voice by encouraging greater co-creation between students and staff

Academic Support

  • Ensure all students have access to sufficient academic support throughout their degree
  • Foster a greater sense of student-staff community throughout the University
  • Encourage students to drive and take ownership of change via student-led projects

Digital Student Experience

  • Expand and enhance iExeter to include more relevant content and promote engagement
  • Encourage greater innovation and personalisation with regards to all student communications
  • Explore digital-based methods of teaching and learning that enrich the academic experience

Transparency

  • Improve students’ awareness of the Sabbatical Officers (Sabbs) by increasing visibility
  • Provide a greater platform for students to have their voice heard and acted upon
  • Ensure students are able to easily access clearly defined information that’s relevant to them
