Exeter VegShare was launched in March 2017 and has since delivered over 1.2 tonnes of affordable same day harvest organic vegetables grown just 5 miles from the campus.
The project won the Students’ Guild award for Student-led Project of the Year in 2017!
The veg bag scheme is open for students, staff and the wider community of Exeter to join as customers or volunteers. Please note that this activity is supported by the University of Exeter Students' Guild and there may be restrictions on non-student volunteers due to insurance cover.
Every Wednesday we get a wholesale delivery from the nearby Shillingford Organics, the produce is then divided into £7 veg bags and £3 fruit bags by student volunteers.
The orders can be placed online, and they will be ready to be picked up between 1.30 - 5.30 pm every Wednesday in our pick up point in the Ram Foyer, Devonshire House, Streatham Campus.
Place an Order
We take orders and payments for the week(s) in advance at the same location on every Wednesday between 11-5.30 pm.
Due to our commitment to minimising waste you are encouraged to bring your own bag or use our own branded jute bags in exchange for a £2 deposit. The bags can be returned on Wednesdays or dropped off into the VegShare green trolley near the SGU desk at any other times.
The online shop can also be accessed via the “Shop Now” button on our facebook page.

VegShare’s success comes from the collaborative effort of over 20 volunteers, and we are always looking to have more people on board!
