The Guild should support Remembrance Day

    • Policy

    Extra Information

Following the disgraceful action of Cambridge University Students’ Union, the Guild should support Remembrance Day.

The Guild will promote and engage with commemorations this Remembrance Day and encourage students to support the Poppy Appeal. This means making red poppies available to buy at Guild outlets and educating about the sacrifices and experiences of our armed forces, as well as other events to promote the memory of those lost in war.

As a students’ union for over twenty thousand students, many of the Guild’s members will have a connection, big or small, to our armed forces. It's vital that this connection is properly represented.
