The Guild is currently going through an exciting period of change. We've just recruited a new CEO, launched a new strategic plan, and have successfully negotiated a significant increase to our funding following the transfer of commercial services to the University, reducing our financial exposure and securing the long-term stability of the Guild. We are now recruiting a Head of Organisational Development who can help us to drive new ways of working and excellent systems and processes across the Guild.
We are looking for someone who can work as part of our Senior Leadership Team to ensure a collaborative approach to delivering the Guild's strategy. You'll do this by streamlining processes and facilitating teamwork in remote environments, ensuring that core services like HR, IT, Health and Safety and Governance are a consideration in everything we do. You'll be a completer-finisher with a passion for project management and strong attention to detail, implementing Agile methodology values across the organisation and supporting our elected student leaders and staff team in adopting them.
We look after students on two campuses in Exeter, and work with our partner Students’ Union in Cornwall. The Students’ Guild main office is located on one of the most beautiful university campuses in the UK, and emerging from the Covid pandemic we are expecting to be working in new ways to enhance student experience both on campus and in the digital environment. Our approach is flexible, inclusive, and supportive, and we are looking for innovation and new ideas in the successful candidate.
This is an exciting new role in our Senior Management Team (SMT), and a unique opportunity to join a vibrant organisation that has an exciting future ahead. We really hope you'll want to join us in in shaping an excellent experience for all students at Exeter.
How to apply:
Please submit your application via our recruitment portal here. Your application should include the following:
- A personal statement that demonstrates how you meet the 'essential' requirements set out in the Person Specification.
- An up to date, detailed CV including all relevant employment history and expertise.
