Additional Student Funding

If you choose to study part-time, you may still be able to get financial help. You may be able to get a Tuition Fee Loan if your part-time course has a ‘course intensity’ of 25% or more.
Undergraduates and postgraduates can get help towards the cost of their teacher training. You can get student finance for the following full or part-time teacher training courses if you’re an undergraduate or postgraduate:
  • Initial Teacher Training (ITT)
  • Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE)
  • School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT)

Certain courses may also be eligible for certain NHS bursaries. Follow the attached link check whether your course is eligible:
If you start a full-time or part-time Master’s course, you could apply for a Postgraduate Loan. You could be able to borrow up to £11,222 to pay your fees and help with living costs. You’re eligible if you:
  • are under 60
  • ordinarily live in England
  • don’t already have a master’s degree or higher qualification
