Supporting the local community is a great way to make your mark on Exeter. Volunteering can be an excellent way to broaden your skills as well as being part of a dedicated group of students engaging with their community.

Exeter Student Volunteers (ESV), are a group of passionate and enthusiastic students who provide a range of opportunities for Exeter students to get involved with. Be it mentoring programmes, dog walking schemes, working with the homeless, visiting the elderly to encourage memory skills, or supporting their flagship project, Summer Adventures, which provides a respite for young carers across Devon, there is plenty for everyone.

Volunteers may be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks, when volunteering with vulnerable adults/children, and safeguarding training is provided for anyone who wishes to volunteer with local schools and projects supporting the elderly, all free of charge, throughout the year.
