What is Summer Adventures?

Summer Adventures is Exeter Student Volunteers' flagship project. It is a two-week summer camp for young carers, which involves various exciting activities including outdoor games, arts and crafts, and day trips to local attractions. The project aims to give the children a respite break from their responsibilities at home, whilst having fun and building lasting friendships with other children in similar situations. It takes place over two weeks of the school summer holidays; the first week is a day camp for 8 to 11-year olds, and the second week is a residential camp for 12 to 16-year olds. Volunteering for this project is a fun and truly rewarding experience, which will give you great skills whilst genuinely making an impact on the lives of young carers. All expenses are covered, and accommodation is provided.
