How can your society and committee be recognised for their achievements?

Societies and their committees achieve some amazing things! We want to recognise these and help you record the skills and experience you gain from these voluntary roles. Please see below for the different recognition schemes we have for our committees.  

Society Stars

Do you want to show everyone how good your society is? Could you be more sustainable? More engaged in democracy? More inclusive? Then challenge your society and reach for our society stars (climb every mountain higher, REACH!)

What are the Society Stars?

The stars below are designed to make you think how you could make your society the best it can be. Your society can work towards bronze, silver or gold within our six star categories: 

Activities
Fundraising and Volunteering
Inclusivity
Social
Sustainability
Voice

What are the benefits?
  • You can use it on your publicity and your stars will appear on your Guild page
  • You can mention it in awards nominations for your society
  • You will get recognised for your achievements at the end of year society awards
  • You will also appear on our Stars leaderboard
How can you achieve your star?
  • Pick which star you want to achieve
  • Pick which level you want to achieve.
    There are 6 targets per star:
    • Complete 2 for Bronze
    • Complete 4 for Silver
    • Complete 6 for Gold
  • Review the criteria and plan how you will achieve it
  • Complete the criteria (remembering photo evidence)
  • Click on the '+' on your society page to request the star
  • Activities will email you to request evidence
  • Your star will be awarded at the end of the month!

Society of the Term

Every Term you have the opportunity to submit your group for society of the term to recognise the amazing things you've achieved! Check back here for the link to apply!

Society Spotlight

Society Spotlight gives your society the opportunity to showcase what you are planning and to advertise any major upcoming events!

Just submit the form below to tell us about one of your events which you would like to be in the Spotlight. You'll get an email confirming which week you've been given and during that week, your event will be promoted on the homepage of the Guild website and on the screens in Devonshire House.
