► The Ram

The Ram Bar

The Ram Bar is the focal meeting point on campus, and one of the Guild's most important outlets. It is probably the busiest and best student bar in the whole of the South West, and is located in the heart of campus, on the ground floor of Devonshire House. It's famous for its fun, student atmosphere, cheap drink and food. Inside is a selection of amusement machines as well as a popular video jukebox and table football. Outside is the Ram Bar Lawn, a pleasant area to sit, drink and eat on a nice summer day.

Main Bar

The Ram sells a range of fine real ales, lagers, cider, bottled drinks and stout, along with the cocktail menu and soft drinks. All at very affordable prices we provide Ales supplied by Otter a Devon based brewers, Sharps the famous brewers from Cornwall and a Guest Young's ale which changes seasonally. We have a friendly staff who pride themselves on their bar and the service they give you - they are made up largely of students, who need to top up their finances, but also to get involved in a fun team. Monday nights are quiz nights, come along and join in the pub quiz run by The Ram and Community Action and help make money for a good cause and maybe win a prize along the way.

Food Bar

open from 10.00am for fresh coffee, latté's, cappuccino's, hot chocolate and many more drinks and light snacks.

Hot meals start at 12 noon and are available until 8.00pm Monday to Friday and from 12 noon until 7.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays. With a wide selection of hot and cold vegetarian and meat dishes available, you won't go hungry when eating at the Ram!

Thursday night is Curry Night, bring a friend and enjoy a good home made curry and a bottle of beer for only £4.50. Bargain!!
