Diversity Week

Diversity week is probably the largest and most exciting event of the year. The event is organised by the International Students’ Council and all the national societies with support from the University and the Students’ Guild. The event will be held from the 18-25th of February 2012 across Streatham campus.

With the tremendous increase in the number of international students over the past few years, the University of Exeter currently boasts more than 4000 international students from over 130 countries. As a University with such a diverse community, it is important for us to come together to celebrate diversity and our cultural differences. It is vital to share and understand cultures and backgrounds to accept each other for who we are and not where we are from. This event will provide plenty of opportunities for international students to interact with local students through various activities. There will be national flags and posters with information about different countries up around the campus. It will be a colourful and exciting week.

Diversity week is probably one of the largest events of the year. It aims to create awareness on the importance and the impact cultural diversity brings to the University and to Exeter. It allows everyone to see and experience different cultures throughout the week. The main events are:
