Meet the Advice Team

Kim White

Kim White – Interim Advice Manager

I am very happy to be part of a team which gives students advice to support them with their University experience. Also, to support individuals to get the best possible outcome. I have experience working with vulnerable adults to seek and maintain housing, supporting asylum seekers and refugees, and working with foster carers. Finally, my most recent role was based within the University of Exeter and I have support students with health, wellbeing and the impacts this maybe having on their studies. With all my roles I have gained many skills which are all relevant to ensure students feel supported and valued when they are seeking out advice.

My role enables me to support students who have had the added pressure of coming from difficult and emotional situations before university and I am here to guide you through some of the financial and emotional difficulties you may encounter in your university journey.

My background is working with vulnerable families and safeguarding so I can use that experience in my role as an advisor to ensure the students are safe, supported, respected and valued.
