JOB TITLE: Art Worker (Part time)
The University of Exeter Students’ Guild has created a new role of Art Worker to report into the Communications and Brand Executive.
The department is entering a period of growth to allow it to build on expertise to deliver and support the overarching Guild strategy and Brand and Communications strategy. This post strives to ensure we deliver key services and functions to the organisation as a service provider and innovator. The Art Worker will be responsible for creating visual communications and collateral in line with the artistic and strategic direction of the Communications and Brand Executive and the Graphic Designer. This will also involve helping to build the organisation’s portfolio on social media and image galleries.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic recent graduate who has experience or qualifications in a design-related field. We want someone who is creative, innovative, and ambitious who is looking for an opportunity to demonstrate their talent/skills in the dynamic field of student marketing. A good to excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite is required. Prior involvement with a Students’ Guild or Students’ Union isn’t necessary.
Hours:15 per week for 42 weeks per annum
Salary: £5,621 actual (£7.90 per hour)

JOB TITLE: Induction & Projects Coordinator
A vacancy has become available in our Activities & Volunteering (A&V) team for an Induction & Projects Co-ordinator. The post holder will be responsible for the support and development of student led activity including the induction of new students and the support of large scale projects as well as supporting the delivery of student led, student facing services in the Students’ Guild A&V Unit.
THE ROLE: The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and employability enhancement of our student volunteers within their designated remit. This is an exciting opportunity that requires a range of skills including volunteer management, events management and organisational skills including finance and administration, within a lively and vibrant high volume work environment.
THE CANDIDATE: This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to establish or further develop a career in volunteer, events and organisational management. The successful candidate will need to be resourceful and resilient, a strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have an interest in student volunteering within an HE environment.
You will be familiar with student volunteering and have experience, either paid or volunteering, of working with volunteers and events and activities management.
SALARY: £16,789 actual
CONTRACT: 36.5 hours per week for 44 weeks per annum
