As an Exeter student, what does the term ‘house’ mean to you?
Whether you’ve spent your first year at Exeter in catered or self-catered halls, the graduation that many face at the beginning of second year, from a single room on campus to private accommodation, is always a daunting one. Home may be where the heart is, but if your student house isn't up to scratch, then your heart may well quickly become broken.
This is why, as part of this year’s HousingFinder campaign, the Students’ Guild is offering a range of extensive advice and information for you. Our key messages when it comes to looking for a house are not to rush and to get all the facts before making any decisions – after all, they will be legally binding!
As well as all the information that the Students’ Guild will be providing online, there will be a daily drop in session every day between midday and 2pm – in the foyer just outside the Ram and Students’ Shop. These will start on the 6th November, so make sure you come and visit us if you have any questions! Various housing experts from the Guild Advice Unit, the University and the local community will be in attendance throughout the campaign.
