The 2024 Guild Awards are here! These awards recognise all the incredible things, you, Exeter students, have achieved this year! If you know a student or a group of students who have done impressive things this year, nominating them for a Guild Award will give them the spotlight they deserve.
Nominations are open from 12 December – 22 February, with the ceremony being held on Wednesday 27 March in the Great Hall.
Once nominations have closed, the shortlist will be announced and shortlisted nominees will receive an invite to the awards ceremony so make sure to keep 27 March free!
Recognising the achievements of an individual, academic rep, department of reps or society that has contributed to the academic experience. This award is for those who have overcome difficulties, made change or have been outstanding at enhancing the academic experience. This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising those that have worked together to achieve something exceptional. This award celebrates a student or students who have effectively worked across different groups or teams to achieve a common goal. This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising the achievements or contribution of an individual committee member or committee as a whole. This award is for those who perhaps have overcome difficulties have made a real difference to their members and increased the impact of their group. This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising those individuals, societies, projects or rep teams that have had a positive and meaningful impact on a wider community. For this award, community could be the student community here at Exeter or a local, national or international community. This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising an initiative, event or project that has provided an opportunity for personal development. This award is about providing avenues to develop confidence, new skills or have new experiences. This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising a brilliant event organised by an individual, society, project or rep team. This award is for an innovative and engaging event or project that had a big impact on attendees. This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising those that are encouraging wider participation and helping to dismantle barriers. This award is about equity, equality, inclusion, diversity and liberation work and those that have worked to break down structural inequality. This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising those that have sought to improve the postgraduate experience by creating community, lobbying for change or enhancing a particular aspect of postgraduate student life. This could be demonstrated by:
Recognising those that have championed sustainability and environmental impact. This award is about climate justice and working towards a long-term liveable planet for students and the wider community. This could be demonstrated by:
