The Welcome & Welfare Team are a group of very special student volunteers who help new students to settle in at Exeter during Freshers’ Week and beyond! With the chance to work with more than 100 other volunteers, go to fun events, talk to new people and take on responsibility, this is a fantastic opportunity.
Quick Facts
· The Welcome Team are made up of 180 student volunteers all of whom are teetotal during Fresher’s Week.
· The Welcome Team volunteer for, on average, 80 hours each during Fresher’s Week.
· The Welcome Team have contact with over 7,000 students during Fresher’s Week
· In 2009 the Welcome Team saved the life of a fellow student
· The Welcome Team have been formally recognised and thanked by Devon and Cornwall Police for their efforts.
