How the Advice Unit works
The Advice Unit has a team of friendly and approachable student staff who will deal with your initial enquiries whether in person or by telephone. The students also host a number of promotional events during term time to raise awareness of welfare issues and support available.
One of the most important services offered by the Advice Unit is our free contract checking service - especially popular during the Spring Term housing search. You will find more information on our Housing Page
Our Advisors are fully trained and keep up to date with the latest information. They will ensure that you receive accurate and timely advice that will empower and enable you to resolve issues quickly wherever possible and relieve the stresses of student life.
Some of our advisors are also members of the University's Network of Dignity and Respect Advisors. This team of staff within the Guild and University exists to support anyone who is the victim of bullying or harassment. The advisors will provide support to students whilst you explore options for tackling your concerns.
